Dear followers, this year I am doing my bit to support Movember!
You may not know that I suffer form polycystic ovaries. This means that, aside from other things, I can grow on hell of a beard. For a girl.
I have always fought against the gender norm of shaving, and I have always, always, since I was a little girls, wanted a beard. However, as many women do, I have plucked and shaved (my beard, at least) for most of my adult life. It is a scary thing, having something very different on your face, which people feel the need to comment on. So this month I will not remove it and when they comment I will tell them that it is in aid of Movember, and of a charity which helps to protect the health of the founding fathers of beards - men.

According to the official Facebook page of Ontario-based ink design collective Custom Tattoo Design, a photo on their feed of a breast cancer survivor with an all-over chest tattoo has been repeatedly removed by Facebook, ostensibly due to a violation of its infamously opaque terms of service concerning nudity.
To protest Facebook's actions, Custom Tattoo Design has been reposting the photo every time it's removed, and says it will continue to do so in honor of the woman's bravery and strength.
To help them in their cause, the company has asked its thousands of followers to like and share the photo " to show your support for this and many other women who have lost so much."
At the time of writing, the post has over 140,000 likes, some 115,000 shares, and around 17,000 comments, most of which express indignation at Facebook's heartless disrespect toward cancer victims.
It seems that the backlash has ultimately persuaded Facebook to let the photo be, as it appears to have been left up unmolested for the past several days.I have a scar where a cancer was removed, and even the lightest touch to it or anything near it hurts and feels really creepy (akin to when someone near me is chewing with their mouth open, but physical instead of auditory.). The amount of pain that she endured to get this tattoo must have been astonishing.

Am I an asshole for saying it's a really bad tattoo? I know it's more than that. I'm not stupid. However, Celtic knots and flowers? Meh. And ugh... a butterfly? I don't know. If it were me I wouldn't be choosing such contrived imagery. Sorry for being that guy.

One of the best things about Austin, Texas is the Everybody's Topless nudity laws. I can walk down the street with nothing covering my bare breasts and it is super, mundo extra legal - so long as I'm not making a nuisance with it. I'd assume an example of "nuisance" could be running around on a children's playground...
Makes Barton Springs a mighty fine place to sunbathe, ifyaknowwhatimean.

I agree with @nnmatthewnn... its a kinda tacky looking tattoo. And it doesn't seem empowering to me, which seems to be what people are saying about it. I guess I don't understand whats empowering about taking a part of your body that you're ashamed of (mastectomy scars), and covering it up with something that looks nicer. If you were really proud of who you are, I would think
